How to install a general-purpose ring lighting on a stereo microscope

When attaching a general-purpose ring lighting (not a specialized device) to the tip of a stereomicroscope, it can basically be attached if the inner diameter of the ring lighting is larger than the tip of the microscope (red circle in the drawing below).

(Microscope with a mounting section at the tip)

However, depending on the microscope, the tip may be tapered or the tip may be larger than the inner diameter of the ring illumination.

(Microscope without a mounting part at the tip)

In such cases, you can easily attach the illumination by attaching the LED fixing ring using the internal screws of the microscope.

The type of microscope mentioned above has internal threads cut on the back of the tip cover for fixing filters, etc.
Since it is for optical filters, pitch etc. are the same regardless of microscope manufacturer. (P=0.75mm)
*By the way, the pitch is finer than that of regular ISO screws.

You can use this to attach the fixing ring.
(We have M49 and M48 fixing rings available.)

Now you can easily attach the ring light.
