How to connect a microscope camera to a C-mount

A stereo microscope camera has a relay lens attached to the tip.
Therefore, it can be connected to the eyepiece section of a stereo microscope or JIS lens barrel as is.

Connect to eyepiece

Trinocular tube (connected to camera port)

If you remove the relay lens at the tip, you can also connect it to a C-mount.
A stereo microscope camera consists of the three parts shown in the photo below.

1.Camera
2.C-mount ring
3.Relay lens

Of these, remove only the relay lens.
Be sure to attach the C-mount ring to the camera side.

If you do this, it becomes a C-mount camera, so you can connect it as is.

In this case, there is no lens on the camera side, so adjustments such as field of view are made on the C-mount side (stereo microscope side).
For details, see ("Connecting the stereo microscope camera").
